Acronis Launches a Portal About Technology in Motorsports

Burlington, Massachusetts February 12, 2018 Acronis, a global leader in hybrid cloud data protection and storage, today announced the launch of Acronis Motorsport portal, an online media outlet covering technology in motorsports. Four-time Formula One World Champion and Renault e.dams team co-owner Alain Prost agreed to contribute to the portal as an advisor and guest editor.
Acronis Motorsport Portal will link race fans with Formula 1 and Formula E teams, providing an insider’s view into how these teams use data, design racecars, and deploy various technologies to achieve engineering and racing excellence. The portal stands out from the rest of motorsports media by focusing on the technological aspects of the sport.
Prost will provide direction and contribute comments, sharing his expert opinion on any topic related to motorsports. “I’ve always been fascinated by the technical side of racing. I used to spend a lot of time with my engineers. I’ve always believed that to be a great pilot you had to know the art of racing and be very deep into technology.”
